The lodge itself is a terrific place. Great and friendly receptionists who were generous enough to permit our family of 10 to eat at their lounge with the food we had brought with us. And the view from there of the valley; the access to trails, the rooms and facility - it has got them all.
Make reservations early since lodge, cabin, and camping are often all booked, especially on weekends.
Hiked one of the trails. The Lodge has a fantastic view especially at sunset.
Beautiful park! We will be back! Clean restrooms in the campground! The only downfall is that they could use more camping spots. The lodge is gorgeous. The overlook, nature and trails are awesome. We camped while there and the sites were nicely spaced apart with plenty of parking, playing, picnicing and another section for the fire pit area. Clean roads and trails.
Most luxurious state park I've ever experienced. We stayed in the lodge, which is beautiful, modern and situated overlooking one of the best views in the state. Food is good and there are several nice short or medium hikes around the top of the mountain.
Plan to go back and stay at the Lodge or a cabin.
The mountain is so beautiful.. it has the most amazing views and roads leading up and down both sides. The beauty is just majestic. For sure a must see for any one going to Arkansas.
Did not stay here but had lunch at the Lodge and it was great.
